Requirements of the Oadby and Wigston Council Licensing Office require that all taxi drivers must have:

• Driving license
• Medical and eye test
• Pass a knowledge test of the area
• Certificate by the Criminal Records Bureau

All these must be achieved before the drivers can receive their taxi license.

The Vehicles all have to be:

• MOT tested every 6 months in order for the Oadby and Wigston council to issue a Plate
• Serviced regularly (roughly every 10,000 miles)
• Kept clean and tidy
